We have recently installed a Monte Carlo back to the wall pan, with the recommended cistern height but find this doesn't flush properly. Solid waste is no problem, it is the toilet paper that seems to get pushed around and not flushed away. We think the throat of the pan to the soil connection is too small at 64-66 mm. The soil connection is 82-78 mm. We think this causes a back surge when flushed. Has anyone else experienced this problem with the Monte Carlo.

I've probably fitted half a dozen over the last couple of years and not had any comeback from the clients. Maybe they are to embarrased to say

Most of them are fitted into bathroom furniture so the top of the cistern is just under 800mm from floor. What cistern did you use as Bathstore do more than one, I tend to use the Fordham one as it has a smaller button than the Dudley (vantage) one.

Thank you, Jasonb, for replying. Bathstore delivered a new toilet today and it flushes perfectly. Our problem now is that the top of the rim has a curve to it so that the seat doesn't sit flat and the shade of white is different to the matching bidet. On Monday a new toilet will arrive. We hope that it will be third time lucky and all criteria is met!

sorry to hear that.........BUT 3 goes is about par for the course nowadays ....one prob is the monkeys delivering in the 7 tonners .......100% worse than any White Van Man
