More 'socialist' Labour bods caught with their snouts in the trough.

Depends on your outlook on life
May be, if your outlook on life is having some meagre epithets on a bit of paper.
But is what they they are saying actually useful, practicable, worth saying, or even true??

Or is it high sounding bohlox?
where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe
What?? So head of police has more rights? Town councillor has more rights? Company boss has more rights? EH??? What rights?

With rights comes obligations.... its not difficult. Take the right of free speech, with it comes the obligation not to incite say racial tension or induce fear.

I for one would love to hear you views on say Christianity and its various mission statements... Thou shall not bear false witness, like when people cherry pick a few words from a sentence and change the meaning of that sentence to suit their own agenda.

Is it not rights and responsibilities rather than rights and obligations?

As I said

Christianity is a predictable but worthless cul de sac in the evolution of consciousness, like all other religions. Despicable hocus pocus fairy stories twaddle invoked by those seeking authority like you just did, but it's a stinking waste product of imagination which causes trouble and suffering worldwide. You can get no lower than using religion for anything.

I'm not "bearing false witness", I'm asking what the phrase is supposed to mean. It's pitiable English. I see you've selected one rather trivial explanation which I doubt was intended. It doesn't say anything about obligations unless you want to twist the meaning your way.

Hey Mottie have you got anything a bit more recent like the last decade or so :ROFLMAO:
Of course mottie has a more recent example...

He's an admitted covid spiv...

Fraudulently getting taxpayers' money for work he admitted he wasn't going to do...

The lowest of the low is mottie!

Fraudulently getting taxpayers' money for work he admitted he wasn't going to do...
Hey, tosspot. Everyone on furlough got money for work they weren’t going to do whether they admitted it or not. Bloody great it was too. In fact, if you got money for furlough and worked, you were being very naughty. Money for nothing - you can’t beat it. I’m just glad I wasn’t in your position - you care home workers didn’t get any furlough, did you?
