Mortar ratio for rock face blocks?

going to build a wall out of rock face blocks, 4" blocks, 3 high.
just wondering the ratio, i used 6:1 for the foundation.
also how thick for the joints?

How long does the wall take to dry solid, need to put soil behind the wall.

3 or 4:1 will be good.

after 24 hrs tthe wall will be strong enough for loose soil. you can compact it after 3 days.
