Mosaic Trowel

Hi,

Quick one, what is the best trowel for 30x30 mosaic tiles. People have recommended the stick on backer to make them more rigid and easier to install so will be using these as well.

Also can I just use the BAL adhesive that I have used for rest of the tiles or do I need special mosaic adhesive?

Any other tips for mosaic install would be appreciated?

I've just done some mosaic. I used a sawtooth edged trowel so there are no big holes and ordinary adhesive and narrow gap grout .
Grouting was only a little fiddly. I used a foam one with a rubber face, about 4 inch by 9, no difficulties. I did use my finger here and there, as normal! It looks only to me.

Thanks, how big are the are the gaps 4mm in the trowel?
