You have got your knickers in a right old twist haven’t you.

No, I haven't.

But if I had, better that than getting my morality, common decency, and ideas on how society should treat disabled people, all twisted and ugly.

They could always catch the bus. Nice low floors on most of them, trained drivers who'll look after them and priority seats.

Just as long as they'll pay their £3 of course, like the rest of us.

So would you like to be told by the government that you are not allowed to go anywhere except by bus?

Or is this type of enforced restriction only OK when it's applied to disabled people?

The problem with any safety net is that many will use it as a hammock.

There are two choices - tough love, where many won't get the help they want, or looking after everyone where many take the pee out of the rest of us. We're currently the latter, but we can't afford it so the former will be the outcome after someone responsible takes control of the country.

Obviously everyone would prefer a world where everybody got everything they needed, all was fair and the sun shone all day. But that world doesn't exist and never will.

What about fairness for the people who hand over 40% of their income, under threat of state-sanctioned violence if they don't, even though they can't afford the essentials they need? Clearly commie-socialism doesn't care about them.

Did you read this

or were you afraid to in case the crashing sounds as the truth collides with the falsehoods you've stuffed your head with were scary?

How about this?

I thought the mobility scheme was to help people with their disabilities when they could not help themselves - if someone has 10 or 20k spare - why don't they buy their own car ?

Stop being a drama queen. Nobody is being ugly and cruel. I have no problems with anyone who is disabled to have a small car to drive about in. If they want a bigger one then pay the extra for it. Nothing cruel there.

Yes agreed

But disability can affect anybody. Can you not put extra in if you have it available?

Or if you have enough money then no state support ?

The point being, that the car is almost certainly paid for by him, not by the state, above the standard pip mobility allowance
And?

My point was some people are playing the system for a cheaper car.

He can't get it if he (or family member) doesn't qualify for it.

He would then only get free what the additional mobility part of pip allows. Anything extra he has to finance.

Its hard to prove someone with a bad back is fibbing, it's happening definitely.
