Hi all,

Just after a little pointer towards a new tap valve for my elderly mother in law. The hot tap on her bath filler is only capable of a dribble and I suspect it needs a new valve.

I've said I'll fix it when I go round on Saturday so I could do with getting the part tomorrow. If it was my own tap i'd take it apart and work out what I need however she lives in Wales and I'm in the Midlands.

Please see the pics below. It isn't a quarter turn or anything fancy like that, just a standard valve - but I'm no expert.

Could anyone point me to a suitable replacement valve on Screwfix? Any tips for completing the job?

Thanks!

Assuming that the shower diverter is working ok, I’d just remove the hot tap insert and see what you find.....I’d guess the jumper, that holds the rubber washer, is stuck because the washer has disintegrated.
Happily you don’t even need to remove the cross head on that one.
John :)
