I recently moved into a two bedroom chalet bungalow, and discovered that our north facing spare room has a massive mould problem.

We don't have central heating yet and the room is next to the bathroom, so it gets quite cold and presumably damp.

Our windows do not lock open and we shower before work so there must be quite a bit of condensation in the house each day. I don't think this house has air bricks either.

It looks like the mould is between the beams holding up the roof:

What can I do to get rid of the mould? I can rip down the wallpaper because we are planning on changing it anyway. But then what?

Ventilate and use anti-mould paint.

I am planning on fitting an extractor fan to the bathroom, and central heating will be fitted in the next few weeks, but I still need to figure out how to deal with the damage so far and stop it happening further.

You need to investigate further and find out why it's like it before we can help to stop the problem.
I'd start with taking down the wallpaper and go from there.
My best guess would be a ventilation problem but that is just a guess.

Classic pattern staining. Caused by lack of insulation in the voids between the rafters. Best solution is to remove the ceiling to the sloping section and rebuild with suitable insulation. Sometimes people try to stuff insulation down the gap from the loft. That's sometimes ok for short sloping sections but would be difficult in your situation. If you do attempt something like that you must make sure you maintain ventilation to the loft.
