Well thanks to static i've just found out my studs are metal instead of wood, id like to run one more thing by you guys.
Above is a mockup in illustrator of my plans to mount an lcd on the wall, the dashed outlines indicate where the studs are. An important point here is that to get the tv centred horizontally on the wall, only one stud is available. To utilise the second stud to the left would have the tv off-centre which isn't what im after
Above is a pic of the wall plate which should hopefully make my question clear. Given the weight of tv&mount is around 25kgs, do you guys think 2-in-the-stud-on-the-right and 4-dry-wall-anchors will be sufficient, or am i taking too much of a risk?
any advice appreciated.
