hi, not sure if this is the right forum for this but will try.

I need to put my tv up on the wall which has been dot and dabbed

Obviously you get wall plugs for plasterboard and you get wall plugs for brick. But I have a combination of them both!

I used to have it on the chimney and used rawl bolt fixings.

Any suggestions please

oh its a 46" LCD so quite weighty

mark the bracket position, cut out plasterboard and fit battens in place to mount the bracket to and fix battens with screws and plugs :)

Rigifix is the answer. God knows what kind of suggestion you just made 😒

Just used these to put my kitchen cabinets up: http://www.drylinepro.com

They seem to work pretty well. I had a couple fail on insertion. They are quite sensitive to hole depth and angle in lightweight block and they aren't cheap but I am happy with them so far.
