Viewing a house this afternoon but it only has a downstairs shower room.

Am considering moving it upstairs into one of the current bedrooms. (Bedroom 2 on floor plans)

Have attached floor plans to see if people think if it is possible and what sort of costs I am looking at to get it done by a builder.

At this stage I don't know what way the joists run. Am also concerned that the upstairs bedroom is not at the furthest outward point as the kitchen and present shower room are a single storey extension out further.

Also do not want a Sani Flo system upstairs.

Thanks in advance.

I looked at this myself (Victorian semi) and you're chucking big money away reducing the house from two to three bedrooms. Can you not squeeze in a bathroom between bedroom one and two? Then rejig the bedroom one doorway?

I had considered that but not sure if I got enough width on current bedroom 2.

If I can get a bath downstairs (viewing this afternoon) I could possibly get just a cloakroom upstairs

How were you thinking ?

Putting a WC in the middle of the house gives the added problem of getting a 110mm soil pipe through to an external wall, (I am assuming here the left hand wall of the property isn't external). Putting something in bed 2, with WC on outside wall, means soil pipe could go straight through the wall, and route externally to join the drain.

Costs, its how long is a piece of string, we don't know depth or location of existing drains, obstructions, etc. Cannot possibly give an accurate quote on a forum.
