is it possible to move the boiler into a base kitchen unit, rather than being in a wall unit enclosure?

Thanks!

Theoretically yes, but it'll make it a real pain in the ass to work on and you might not be able to fit it in whilst maintaining the manufacturers recommended clearances

hi I have the Potterton Suprima, just checked, can this be moved down into the kitchen base unit (under the worktop) with the flute going outside at floor level?

thanks!

yes but as said before you'll need to follow the manufacturers instructions as the base unit will probably need vents and the flue will need adequate clearance outside

We would treat it as a new boiler installation.

Probably quote £640 to move the Potty. Not recommended!

Probably quote about £840 to fit new boiler.

All prices inclusive and cover water treatment.

You will find someone to do it cheaper though.

also, if I move the boiler down to base cabinet level, the flue will go directly outside at about 400mm from pavement level - would this be ok with a flue cover?

thanks!
