I wanna move my stairs to a compleatly different part of my house... i have a few questions

1. How easy is it to cut through an existing floor(and make it safe)

2. How easy is it to cover the old stair well with floor (and make safe)

3. How much (roughly) would this cost

i no its open ended but just interested

Just out of interest why do you want to move the stairs - there might be more to it than you suspect?

Either way it all depends on your intermediate floor construction as to how easy to make a new hole, load bearing wall location etc.

At the worst you could have a block and beam floor and then you'd definitely struggle!!!

As to sealing the existing stairwell it's usually a case of running new joists through using hangers as applicable and then putting down new floorboards, plasterboard the ceiling, skim, decorate etc. etc.

No way of estimating the cost - to quote somebody else from the forum... can't see it, can't quote it.
