All,

Hopefully this is an easy job!

have recently moved into a new house and the heating system has Glow Worm Flexicom 24cxi combi boiler with no water tanks. (preferred the old set up in previous house)

I need to move a radiator in a bedroom from one side of the room to the other due to poor layout of room and what we now intend to do in there.

Have looked and seen about removing a rad for decorating etc but obviously this is much more different.

Drain system? How best to do this?
Assuming it is a case of remove rad and then run pipe from existing pipes to new location will be under floor.

Hang rad in new location before running pipe?

Any tips / advise much appreciated.

To drain - turn off boiler, attach hose to lowest drain off point - other end to drain outside. Open D/O, then open some bleed valves on highest rads to assist draining.

As you say, the rest hanging rad in new position and running pipes across to it.

Hopefully this is an easy job!

It always seems easy 'til you get into it, and realise everything's a balls-ache.

To re-fill, close all bleed valves, open all rad valves and start filling the system at the boiler. Then bleed rads. It would help having another person controlling the filling/pressure while you are bleeding the rads or you will be up and down like a yo yo
