hi we have put an offer in on a victorian house with a loft room. The loft room has been there since at least 1950s possibly origional.

If we move the stairs and/or fitted a dorma window would this mean the loft would then be subject to all the current building regs?

thanks Jon

Sorry Ive posted this in the wrong section so i have moved it here

yes you will need building reg's.

presumably, when you say fit a dormer window, i take it you mean all the structural work that goes with it, i.e. cheeks, frontage and roof?
