A smallish Cylinder sits in an airing cupboard that has been crafted in the corner of an upstairs bathroom. Bathroom is small enough and I need the space back. Currently both showers are pumped and there are two cold water (CW) tanks in the loft joined in series. The Loft is boarded out but height is at a premium and the two CW tanks currently are sat on the floor.

What is involved with moving the hot water cylinder to the loft and what problems might we face ? I'm happy to improve the insulation in the loft and understand that there are horizontal hot water cylinders available for spaces like this one for about £300. I'm guessing the cold water cisterns could be raised off the floor in the loft above the horizontal tank if this is necessary.

Cheers.
