Hello All.
Sorry if I am in the wrong place but here goes  .

I have upgraded my mobile phone and when I save video's and transfer them to my PC they are in MP4 format. My PC does not know how to read these files. Is there a way of me converting the files, or do I need to buy a program to do so ????????

Many thanks in advance

Ed.

I can open an mp4 into Windows media player 11 via <file> <open> - plays ok after reporting unrecognised media... Cannot 'drag and drop' mp4 file into that player... Haven't 'played with settings' - May have downloaded a free codec at some point? - cannot remember...

Normally use, for past year or so, http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ - First install, I did not allow VLC as default player for any file - thus maintaining default as win media player... Having tested VLC to my own satisfaction (like it !!) I reinstalled, making VLC the default player...
