There's no logic to the cheaper option.......
I had never checked. My van stock is all mk bulk packs from EF. 
the five pack was cheaper around 6 weeks ago, but the price keeps bloody changing!
One imagines that's what the OP was getting at....
Or maybe it's a terrible pun about what's being sold......
