Multiple Joints

it is a great pity about @jobandknock leaving, he was a wealth of knowledge

and yes the failure away from any of the joints is a testament to how good PVA wood glue is (it is as strong as you need)

that aside it would be easier iff it broke on the joint as now you have a broken wedge section and a gap so you still need an infill bit so you have the choice off cutting out the split section away from the star markatry inset in the middle and trying to visually "hide the repair as much as possible where as a joint separation is simply a shaving off the split edge to give a decent clean glue face -----decisions decisions:sneaky:

I got one side of the insert perfect, the other side I should have sopped earlier

havn't touched the beech star, just have to fill that or something, will hollow out the back the morrow and try to stabilise it all
