Hi all

Back for some more good advice :)

I am trying to choose an under cabinet extractor fan that will go above a ceramic hob. I have a double row of four 60cm wide cabinets above the hob ( hob size is 80cm).

I like two Elica fans - the Glide and the Eliper both of which have housing that will fit into a 60cm cabinet.

The Glide comes in a 60cm and a 90cm and the Eliper in a 60cm and 80cm.

My question is whether I need to choose the same size extractor as the hob or can I go for a 60cm one which will fit neatly under one cabinet?

Many thanks
Michelle

Hi,

Basically, you can have an extractor hood that is larger than your hob or the same size, but not smaller. If you do choose a smaller extractor it will not be able to work properly, so assuming you are buying it for function more than looks, you definitely need one at least as large as your hob.

Hope this helps!! :)
