hi there :D
i have a ff250 boiler and a couple of days ago it would trip the all power to the house out and now nothing it doesn't make any noise or sign of life! what could it be? the fuse is fine but there is no power after that getting to the boiler
could it be the pcb or something else?

thx for any help anyone could give me

If there is no power to the boiler live, then the fault/blown part lies in the external controls somewhere.

Check the pump and zone valves first.

i am no expert and would really like your help
my hot water is from a dif. soucre and that is still working
my control panel seems to be working fine that is located behind my fridge ( once it was programed i never really needed to get to it )
my thermos is in the hall way.
the boiller trips the fuse box out on all the sockets trips, now i am really confused

could i change it my self or would i need a pro. to have a looked at it ?

You could disconnect the L & N at the boiler, make safe, then turn power back on. If it still trips it is not the boiler.

If it is the rcd that is tripping then it is a leakage to earth from the L or N.

thx gas4you your a reall help !!
i have disconnected the L&N from the boiler and connected it to an extention lead and it works from a normal socket its all working fine !!
i just need to know how to find the problem from where the leek is i have change the fuse in the rcd and that is still not working ... so now where could trhe fault lay ?

thx you so much you have been a reall help
specially with this cold dam snow here

thx again

You really need to start tracing the circuits and testing with a multimeter.

The most common items to fault are the pump and any zone valves.

Failing that you could just remove the wires from each component until you find which one is causing the tripping.

the boiler is now running fine and the upstairs radiators a nice n hot but the down stairs ones are still cold what could that been ? the pump? it was changed last year by a plumer and as been working fine but u never know....
any idea on that ?

First thought would be the pump has had it and the upstairs rads are getting warm through gravity circulation.

As said before, the pump would be prime suspect for the tripping fault.

so if i change the pump it should be fine ?
how much would a new pump coast me there abouts its an
europa model sg5

i m really thankfull for your help
