My Central Heating Timer seems to be shafted!!!

I have recently moved into this lovely Cotswolds cottage which boasts an ancient but serviceable (thanks to all the assistance received on this forum a few months ago!) Vaillant VCW 242 combi. However, as the days and nights get parky I have for the first time investigated the option of setting my timer to switch the heating on twice a day. Only to discover that the silly thing isn't working! There is certainly power getting to it because the 24 hour function works fine. The only thing that seems to be not working is the bloody clock thingy - its is not going round at all. It's a Horstmann Coronet H425 and it looks pretty ancient to me. It has a round dial that's supposed to move with the time, and 4 red and blue tabs to set the on-off times.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Grimly Feendish

Gyroscopic motor on the centifuge has gone ,quite a common fault on coronets but not on the later diamond model

Hey there, I saw you were having same problem as me with your H425 timer. Did you manage to repair the unit or did you have to relace it? Mine is making quite a loud grating noise but the clock part of the timer is not moving round - at least not all of the time as it should. Any advice would be gratefully received.
