My new lamps have 2 wires and not 3 ?

I just bought some nice lamps off Amazon ,but a couple of them it seems have two wires inside the plug and not three.
This means it is unearthed ?
Does that make them unsafe then ?

What can I do to make them safe ?

Someone said use something called an RCD Adaptor, will that work ?
