Than a ring annular nail with a full head? Forgive my skepticism, but I don't see pallet makers using staples on heavy pallets - they use ring annular nails.

For the equivalent weight nail, yes staple would be better in the right circumstances. Hence the plates that are used on trussed roof's. But of course you are right, the right fixing for the right job :D

Oh, and of course the slightly relevant fact you have 1^4 more experience than me :LOL:
