Nail Guns

I often see nail guns on ebay described as first and second fix. Can someone tell me what these terms mean and what is the difference between the two nail guns?

First fix carpentry will be joists, roofs, studwork etc so the guns typically fire 63-90mm nails. Second fix is architraves, skirtings, trim work etc so the guns fire upto 50mm nails which are smaller headed brads.
