I'm struggling to find suitable nails for fencing. I want some galvanised ring shank nails, 40mm. Been to all the local places, tool station, screwfix, b&q, selco, wickes, local merchants and just no one sells them. I can only find bright ones, which I assume are gonna rust and run eventually.

Plenty of places sell them on a coil, but I don't have a coil nailer and all the hire shops only seem to have brad nailers and framing nailers, no coil nailers.

They are harder to get loose or by box nowadays as they are mostly used in strip form for palasode guns.

Every merchant or even hire shop should have boxes of these often combined with gas cartridges if you wanted to use a gun

Screwfix used to do 'em. Don't know why they stopped selling them. Great nails for fencing and cladding.
Could make your own by sticking loads of bright ones in a sheet of polystyrene and spraying them with a tin of grey zinc primer.
I have actually done this.
