Hi all, just wondered if anyone can help with any information on the gas valve on the above NH MK2? For my sins I have been asked to look at this boiler for a friend, now we all know favours cost you money but I still said I'd have a look..... Well so far it's cost me £140 for a new Mercury switch, I know I should have checked the voltage at the gas valve connections but didn't have my MM with me so couldn't. So now I get 230 on wire 1 when pilot established and then 230 on wire 2 when MS has proved so looks like main gas solenoid is shot. I have been looking through the Neataheat posts and there was some talk about just replacing the solenoid coil, is this possible with this valve, I have done it on various other valves but this one is all enclosed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :(
