Need advice how to fix a plastic freezer draw

We had too much ice build up
I had to forcefully pull out one of the draws

The plastic has broke
The draw is still in tact though

No worries, I'll buy a new draw from eBay for 99p
Erm..... I did a search and the damn draws that are available are expensive!!
We're talking £40!
The freezer can't have cost more than £150 itself!

I took a pic of the front of the draw here:

One idea I had was to get 'something' on either side and super glue on - say a thin hard piece of plastic

Then I thought, what if the super glue contaminates the food somehow by just being there!! But then I thought the temperature is too low so nothing to worry about

If I simply glue the crack, then the bond won't be strong enough and it will just break again

Any ideas how I can fix?

Super glue should be fine.

empty the drawer clean and warm it first

Superglue is low toxicity, it will be fine for this.

You can make a few small holes each side of the crack and then use some stiff wire twisted round to kind of stitch up the crack. Worked for me once.

Had same problem with a fridge fixing in the door (cracked with putting big milk container), tried superglue but didn't last five minutes. I ended up using my glue gun which so far (touch wood) has lasted for a couple of months.
