Need advice installing a pullup bar

One youtube review said that you have to get you own fixing (which sounds pants - should be supplied by the seller!)
That's because a lot of that type of frame end up on the floor.

Once your mass is moving, it will impart large forces on each screw. In some instances, poor mortar can result in the actual bricks coming loose, whilst the fixing remains solid.

I'd rather see a frame largely supported from the floor with supplementary wall fixings to add stability. My guess is that poor brickwork would need something like a large sheet of thick ply fixing to the wall and the frame fixed to that - or summat.
 
I would echo what noseall says about the board but would also put a similar board on the opposite side of the wall to spread the load more.
Still not 100% guaranteed if you don't use some form of frame from the floor to supplement it.
Look at it this way, how many of these things do you see screwed to the wall of a proper gym? I know in my one they are all heavy floor secured frames.

Don't have space for a free standing one
+ Free standing ones are expensive.

But... I could make a wooden frame. That would be super easy.

See the below frame I sketched up. The blue is thick wood. The wood would be 5cm x 5cm thick say.
The frame would ONLY be screwed to the wall.
The pullup bar would be screwed to the frame.
I added the corners to add stability - but these could be completely diagnol if that makes it stronger?

Would this be good enough? (Assuming the frame idea was OK.)

EDIT: the damn thing is out of stock on the Decathlon website. Grrr! I was only interested in that one specifically because you can fold it away. I haven't seen any folding ones anywhere else. But... I'll find one! So still would like to know if the frame is a good idea!

and while you are at it.. build some dip bars into to the frame so that you can do triceps too. Also get some kettlebells or weights as soon you'll need to load yourself up to make the pyramids work. You'll be amazed how much harder it is to do a pull up with a 10kg weight hanging around your waist.

Also make sure there is enough roof/ceiling height for muscle ups etc.

Another vote from me not to mount that on the wall. The leverage of those long bars and your dynamic weight will rip it from the wall.

To see the stresses involved look at these (budget) floor standing racks an see how they all have diagonals that extend to the floor.
