Need an answer for my plumber

pleaase please can someone tell me where the pump should be in my house heating...before or after my boiler?
if some could give me an answer in the next few minutes I would be very greatfull

a pumped return would be common. doesn't your plumber know the answer?

Thankyou...I hope he does but he says that it must be moved..but it has worked fine for at least 2 years that I know of

i don't know..the problem is that water comes out of the overflow outside and my radiators are cold..as if there is not enough water in them and hes has tried to get rid of the air in them but hes says it has come back and moving the pump will solve the problem

sorry to be so silly i have no idea what or how it works but just want to make sure that I pay for something that does need doing

in this case it sounds like a good idea. the problems you have at the moment are unlikely to be caused by the system layout as it worked previously.

this kind of topic is what i think is a misuse of this forum.the replys are all to quickly pointed at the sense the plumber doesnt know what he/she is doing.given the OPs info its hard to diagnose what the problem is or maybe needs doing, as theres no detail to pipe layout, system etc.OP why do you doubt the info of the plumber your employing, yet are asking for advice on a open forum?
