Hi. I have just moved into my mums to care for her and she has problem that she has two consumer units (see attached picture). One for lighting, ring mains, cooker, etc. This one has power from the newly fitted prepay meter. The other one supplies all the storage heaters. This one however, has no power to it from the old meter. No idea why they would have done this. It seems two heaters must have been tied into the ring main.
I would like to get power to the remaining two heaters as my bedroom is freezing.
What would be my best option? Connect main incoming power into the dead consumer unit? Or look into tying in the other heaters into the ring main?
Any help would be appreciated.
