Hello, Motor has died on my JLTDC01 dryer (very slow & noisy running even without belt attached, won't turn drum at all). I've been trying to choose a replacement machine but I think I'm better off fixing this one as to replace with a similar spec will be at least £400.
Pic attached of the motor label. Type number is 20583025. Best online price is about £140 + delivery. Just wondering if anyone can suggest a cheaper source, even second hand/refurb?
Thanks for your help!

Have you checked the cap?

The replacement not necessarily same make/type motor needs to have the same mountings, spindle length and grooves to match the belt or you'll have to change belt too!

Does the motor only connect to a belt or does it have a fan on the other end?

Don't think it's the capacitor - the motor does start and turn (without anything connected) but it's slow and noisy - think bearings gone?
Doesn't have a fan on the end, no.

Ebay item 310328088327

May not be the exact bearings but shopping around will find them.

Could probably do with a vice to chock the bearing and hammer block of wood on spindle.
The bearings should have writing on to identify the size etc.

The one nearer to the motor probably a little more awkward to get to.

Did you order correct size according to whats printed on current ones.
Obviously, important the inner and outer diameters are the same.

And most ebay ones have rubber seals, guess metal shielded will last longer not really sure.

Hmm, yes, maybe got a bit carried away! I ordered these on size (12x32x10) eBay 190675239916 Type 6201 2RS. Doesn't say rubber seal, but you're probably right.
The bearings say 'BB1-0621AC'. Searching brings up something like http://tinyurl.com/kwshqn4.
Does that look a better bet?
Cheers!

Like I said the diameters are important and looks like you have ordered correctly.
Now you just need to remove the old ones!

62012ZNR
Compare the ones you ordered to the above, just search ebay, about 9 quid each.

Search ebay 62012z for cheaper, about 3 quid each, not sure what the nr stands for on the above.

Of course entirely your choice but don't see why the others aren't as good and the sizes are correct at least.

Let us know how you get on.

I'm pretty sure those eBay ones will be perfectly fine too. Just trying to find out what the different codes mean.
