Moved into a new house which needs some love and attention. Got the professionals in to sort out some dry rot and in pulling up the carpet found that the floor was a very neglected 5 finger basket parquet. Quite a few of the fingers were damaged to get at the sub floor and would like to replace. The fingers are teak I think. I can't seem to find anything (old or new) of a similar size 230x45x12. The fingers are tounged and grooved also, any ideas where I could get some replacements.

Also is 12mm too thin for re-sanding?... should I just rip the whole lot up and start afresh

Teak is extremely hard to get hold of, no matter new or old. All due to the deforestation: now everyone wants Teak from sustainable sources = high demand and hardly any supply.

You can sand 12mm blocks (a proper sanding takes off 1 - 1.5mm in total) but we aware that there is a high chance your old blocks were glued down with bitumen and when that has become brittle you might end up with a sanded but loose blocks.
