Need to avoid two 90° bends?

Hi, all

Newbie here.

My family is renovating our bathroom. As part of the design, the toilet has been moved to the left by about 8 inches.

Unfortunately, due to the presence of main drainage pipes outside - we live in a tall building - the contractor has to use an 8-inch horizontal waste pipe with two 90° bends to connect the toilet. Even though it has a slight slope, I am concerned that clogging or other problems may take place in future. Can any fellow forum members possibly suggest a remedial solution to minimize the risk?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Will be fine. No reason for it to clog

Doubt it's 8" - over 200mm as that's usually for underground works, maybe 4" - 110mm?

Should be fine as long as you're not stuffing wads of nonsense down the toilet.

If he does mean 8inch long then it looks like 50mm waste pipe?

Thanks, all, for your helpful input.

I was informed that the waste pipe's diameter is 4" (100mm). Perhaps it is longer than 8". I didn't actually measure the thing.

It seems like everyone here thinks the two 90-degree bends won't affect the flow in any material way. Most reassuring!

Thanks again.
