Morning. I'm new here so please be gentle. I will have a go at a lot of things myself but often need advice from those who know as I don't want to destroy my house!

I have bought a 2000x398mm 2 column rad and I need to buy valves. I am not sure what to buy as I cannot determine if plastic pipework needs special rad valves?

Perhaps unorthodox but the pipework is in place already. I am ok with draining down my combi-boiler fed system. The pipes look to me to be in the correct position (where they come through the floor).

Does plastic heating pipework need specific angled rad valves?

Thanks for any help.

Plastic pipes can be fitted with the same valves as copper pipes. The plastic pipe requires a pipe stiffener inserted into it ,copper pipes don't.
The pipe stiffener should be of the same brand make as the pipe .

As Terry says, make sure you you use a pipe insert, some valves have “pushfit” a connection, if using compression type then it’s recommended to use a copper olive and definitely no jointing compound on plastic pipes.
