Wife or I have lost spare key to daughters flat . . .

Need a new Euroturn cylinder to replace what is fitted and need to know how to get it out.

Door is timber, Latch is separate from the lock which is a mortice, lock has a round chromed bezel each side of the cylinder which appears to clip on but would not come off and I didn't want to damage it.

Cylinder has ES stamped on the end with what appears to be a star between.

End to end length is 72mm excluding the knob on the inside.

Can anyone tell me who the lock maker is (Google not that much help), which dimensions I need to get a replacement, and how I get it apart.

if it's the spare key you've lost, surely it would be easier to get a copy made from the non-spare key?

or are you concerned the key might have fallen into the wrong hands?

That is the concern, she saw some keys on the floor in the hall for a couple of days and just left them, they have now disappeared and neighbours are all out and can't contact cleaner/mgt. co. until tomorrow to see if they have them.

I like to put a label on with a name and phone no that does not relate to the address the keys fit.

My initial concern was that I did not find the screw that holds the cylinder in and accordlingly I was having difficulty measuring the cylinder.

Went back down yesterday evening and found the screw, took the cylinder out and it is 35mm from each end to the hole centre line. Bought a replacement (Yale) on the way in to work and will fit it later today.
