I need to replace a radiator in a bedroom because it has a small hole near the top presumably due to corrosion. It is 56" wide but new ones are 1400mm which is around 1" less. What can I do?

You can purchase tail extensions which come in a number of different sizes so that you can make up the distance between the valve and the rad. Available at most plumbers merchants.

if the pipes are 8 or 10mm you could adjust both by 1/2" by gently bending the pipes in
