Net Zero Rollback

Its especially a priority for councils who use it to force areas into LTNs and other anti motorist policies .

The hypocrisy is off the scale with it all, as usual. Bristol City Council introduced a low emissions zone in Bristol some years ago. Guess who has an ancient fleet of diesel vehicles? Brother had a couple of large items taken away by council in July. BCC pickup with cage on back turns up - 2006 Merc diesel.

Do as I say..............................................

What is the carbon footprint of little piggy wigs.

EDIT:

I've just Googled, and apparently it is 6.5 times lower than cows.

I didn't know that!
And chicken has a lower carbon footprint than UK grown commercial tomatoes and cucumbers. Spanish tomatoes shipped to the UK are better in this respect.

Tell us you are well off without telling us you are well off --- it already is a luxury for some.
Might want to target the soya curd eating net zero Zealots for cutting down rain forest and planting soya. Then do the same for E10
Beef is not a luxury item when its £5.29 for 500g:

Prices vary worldwide of course.

That is an issue of course, and one that can be fixed by changing the material used to make the blades. Which looks like is being looked at.

When you have larger volumes, its does create incentives to make thing more recyclable.

We also need far more nuclear power of course.

Great the poor can make do with minced beef so the rich can eat tofu and claim they are saving the planet
No - all meat should be luxury food, should attract VAT + climate surcharges & NHS levies. Everyone would be better off if they consumed less meat (and I say that as an enthusiastic meat eater with haggis been my all time favourite)

technology has moved on and now turbine blades can be recycled
"can" -- being the word here. Small scale tests not economically viable.
The best use for then is to make sculptures from them as they are a quite interesting shape. Oy maybe stick one end in the groud and mount some solar panels on the top to look like giant mushrooms and then could potentially still graze animals underneath so no farm land is actually used up. Or grow a crop that can thrive in partial shade - espicually as the planet warms up - improvise - adapt and live with the changing climate - not tax people back to the stone age while the rich get richer and the poor get poorer on the back of it

People will be keeping illegal pigs in the garden. You would be committing a Pork Crime.

That is incorrect

Siemens Gamesa are making recyclable blades currently

Previously, the industry has not been able to recycle wind turbine blades upon decommissioning, resulting in blades ending up as landfill. Now, thanks to our pioneering RecyclableBlade technology, the materials from our RecyclableBlade can be recycled and reused in other industries to the benefit of future generations.

The RecyclableBlade is the first product to offer a comprehensive recyclable solution and is ready for commercial use. These wind turbine blades can now be transformed into other applications across various industries, providing streams of recycled materials for use in different manufacturing processes. A groundbreaking step towards creating a waste-free future for the wind industry.

RecyclableBlade is a simple, and robust solution, developed through technological ingenuity. The only change to the blade production process is our new resin. This means that scaling up production and rolling out this recyclable product is not only possible, it is already a reality! The first blades have already been installed in 2021
