Assumption being the mother of all cock ups - yes it is indeed correct.
I always lift off and hover over the brake pedal when approaching cars waiting it t junctions and side streets.
Unless I see the drivers face and not the side or back of his head I have no idea whether they have seen me or not.
Driving standards are shocking at the moment I have lost track of the amount of cars I see in front of me now that sway from side to side on the road or mysteriously slow down even though the road ahead is clear..
Why? ****ing around with phones-texts-even FACEBOOK wtf.
A new Audi A3 I believe is shortly going to be released with a centrally mounted touch screen with google????
Absolutely shocking. One can only hope the screen is programmed to go blank if the car is moving.
Thats all a driver should be able to operate when driving. Anything else like swapping cd's - finding tracks on the mp3 - setting the sat nav - tuning the radio - etc etc are purely distractions.
google available on many sat na v units.
all built in screen units have features restricted when hand brake released. unless of course you connect the relevant cable to ground - watching DVDs makes the motorway journeys much more tolerable.
Just like one of the adverts on TV promoting the "Think Bike "theme. You see a car driver approaching a junction. He looks in his rear view mirror and sees a motorcyclist. Looks forward then back in the mirror. The motor cyclist has gone . "Now you see me, now you don't." Mutters the voice over. The car driver puts a right hand signal on. The car driver looks in his offside wing mirror . Again the motorcyclist is clearly seen. He looks forward, then back in his wing mirror, the motorcyclist has gone. "Now you see me, now you don't." The motorist now starts his right hand turn,,, Crash..... Bang,,,, Wallop.... The motorcyclist who decided to overtake a vehicle, turning right, now lies on the ground. The voice over tells us motorists to THINK BIKE..
I remember once when a cylicts got very annoyed because I had pulled out from a junction into his path resulting in him having to swerve around the front of my car. I then pointed out to him (very politely of course) that it was dark and the T**t didn't have any lights.
