I'm renovating my son's house o joy, I need some advice on what type of floor to put down on the bathroom joists, OSB, Marine ply, or wooden floor boards. what ever it is I will also be putting down 6mm concrete board on to it for tiling, also we will be putting in a large walk in shower tray 1400x900, so need a good base for this. Thankyou for any advice you can give. Jason

T&g flooring ply would be my choice. More expensive than chipboard but less likely to expand if it gets wet.
I used a thin coat of varnish on mine, on all the edges.

I am thinking of using cement backer boards around shower tray for the floor tiles, the tray is a stone resin one 30mm. at the moment there is no flooring in the bathroom, i just wondering which flooring would be best to bed the tray onto using a cement base
