New board installed . Scorching on old

Had a new rcbo board installed.

The old one had scorching on main switch.

Just curious what causes this. We did have a flood at this property and water went on board as it directlu above bathroom.

Can old age of board do this ?

Cpuld they of come loose over time by themselves as board was 30 years old ?

Strands look twisted which doesn't help

A switch with a good heavy clank can help it along
