New build house with defective drylinig

incorrectly fitted cavity closers. Had expert witness structural survey done which showed no dpc around doors and frames

I don’t know quite why a DPC would be needed around structural openings if a cavity closer is fitted.


I bet The reason cavity closers were missing was because there weren’t any on site when the installers were there to fit the windows and doors.

I may have got the part about dpc wrong, think that might just apply to doors?

Never rely on builders specifying the work they would love to do and be paid for.

His reasoning was if the issue is just with the perimeters, why remove the whole lot

Considered it but solicitor said I will have to disclose all of this which means I either do the work or take a hit on sale price
