Both sides of the switch are the same - well, mirror image.
Electrically, yes - but, as I said, the issue (for some people) is about the 'markings'.
It won't have 'L' and 'N' markings. Why do the ones that do?
I must say that I don't recall one without such markings, but maybe that's just my poor memory. However, my point, in context, was that Fusebox ones DO:

As for " Why do the ones (like Fusebox) that do?", you'd have to ask the manufacturers that!
 
It's such a bad picture, I think that TLC one does have L & N -but there must be some that don't or have it the other way round.
 
Schnieder used to come with a bent/set bus bar so you could use the main sw either side and still connect it the same.
