We have had our new central heating system in for around 10months.

There were brand new copper pipes fitted, 10 rads Inc 2 bathroom rads in through out the house and a new 33kw combi boiler.

Since the instattion has been completed we here knocking sounds in some of the walls, rads and boiler when the c/h comes on.

Its a brand new setup and the house renovation works is fully complete. Should we expect any type of sounds like this?

Some of the knocking sounds are loud enough to wake my baby up and each sound is loud enough to notice without trying....

I have bled the rads to no joy....

No it is not normal call your installer back it is still under warranty

If it only happens when the heating comes on, chances are its the pipes expanding and the holes/joists they pass through are too tight. Get onto your installer and he should rectify it. Is it a clicking sound that gets faster then stops ?
