I think the sparkie will sign this off and certify for a small fee on the assumption that
1. There is rcd protection for the circuit.
2. No plastering has taken place and the floor boards are still loose s the full cable route can be verified
3. The sparky fits the mcb and terminates the tails and completes all tests
Question: why bother with capping at all? If its a chased channel just clip it. A socket creates its own safe zones merely by its prescence (horizontal and vertical) and if the cable is clipped less than 50mm it is covered by an rcd.
Surely there is only need for mechanical protection if the cable is run diagonally?
