as tony agile says "it aint the boiler its the standard of installation" this can make or break any boiler

makes sure that the system is clean as a whistle before the new one goes up

we fit worcester bosch and, fingers crossed, no problems yet

Thanks for replying corgiman , as for what you are saying regarding bad installation i agree to a point , but installation as far as i know does not cause pcb`s to fail and fans and expansion vessels to name but a few , flow switches which were belt fed , yes

PCBs and fans can fail over a boiler life of 10 years. Some last the life of a boiler and some fail early.

An expansion vessel is often replaced when it only needs pressurising. Dirty water can also cause these to fail.

I had an email about an ex work colleague who has been diagnosed as having a brain tumour and in reality is not very likely to survive. There is no replacement brain for him!

Although I mainly do repairs I have never had any faults on any boilers which I have fitted except the Ideal Icos on which all seven needed new PCBs.

Sorry, no. It was a joke. Please don't buy one. Just don't.
