Hi all

I need to make a new connection to my cold water tank in the loft for a shower pump.

My question is this, can the connection be made on the same side as the cold water supply into the tank and how far down the tank as the outlet for the hot water cylinder is in the bottom of the tank.

Many Thanks.

Check with the manufacturer of the pump you are using. They all differ a bit.

It would be wise to have fill/ballvalve as far away as outlet as the filling causes airation that can be sucked into pump feeds.

Swap them over. Have the cold to the pump as the lowest one, so if you run out of cold stored water the shower would go cold (not scalding the user)

Hope this is of help.
