hi
we have just installed a new cooker, it says it needs 45amp trip. Our old cooker was 30amp. when all four rings are on it trips out. Is it ok to fit a 45amp trip without rewiring?

No, not until you have identified the size of the existing cable.
It will need to be at least 6.00mm for it's full length and that is providing no derating factors, such as routed in thermal insulation or run in conduit/trunking.

NO.

We need to know the size of the cable of the entire cooker circuit.

Also need the power rating of the new cooker. This is measured in W or kW.

Send photographs if possible.
