Hi everyone I have just fitted a new double switch trouble is the on off is now the opposite way lol is this dangerous?

I know I should open it and switch the wires around but it was a pain in the butt to fit and to be honest if it is safe would not mind just getting used to the opposite ways.

Not dangerous, just means the switching is being done between common and the opposite connection to normal in a 2 way switch.
Simple enough to fix though......

You have three options

1. Swop the wires over (remember this switch will be different to ALL the others in your house)
2. Simply turn the switch over, then the left and right switches will be transposed
3. Just get used to it the way it now is…..

Cheers guys thought it would be ok just wanted to make 100% sure.

We will just get used to it no probs.

Thanks again.

Not dangerous as such, but very misleading for anyone who thinks the switch is off, and wants to change a lamp.

And annoying to look at.

If you like, tell us the terminal markings, and we'll tell you how to change it - better than living with upside down switches.

Umm, lets see

Move wire from L2 to L1 on switch 1 Thats one wire
Move wire from L2 to L1 on switch 2 Thats one wire

1 + 1 = 2 wires. Did I miss something?

Yes, 2 wires to CHANGE NOW .

The OP complained

it was a pain in the butt to fit

When FITTING it there would have been more than 2 wires to deal with.

Your comment was a reply to his complaint about the difficulty of FITTING the switch, not the difficulty he would face in moving 2 of the conductors.
