Hi there,

Been asked to do a quote for a woman who's bath has caused damage to the floor and downstairs ceiling. Im just a plumber so ive got someone in to quote for the building works. He's on his own (no company) and we've been talking over the work and i just wanted to check if he's going by the book. I was just looking at part e building regs and he'd not mentioned anything to do with this. Is there a standard way / set of regs that need to be followed to lay new floor/repair damaged and ceiling? The flat is in london, its a the floor between ground and first floor. Damage is localized to the bathroom. Hes currently just saying joists may be ok but if not replace joists, new plywood sheets over new floorboards. then to ceiling: new plaster board, finishing plaster. Is this an ok method or is there something / alot of things, hes missing out?

cheers
