New Floor : Protection

Just laid a ready laquered floor and it looks lovely.

At least it did.


I one caroner dogs managed to stratch up the floor a bit.

Laquar doesn't look very strong.

Should I apply a couple of layers of diamond hard varnish.

Will I need to snad the whole thing over....

Eek... want the thing to last.

No post about cutting the dogs paw off thatnk you

Is your floor engineered wood or laminate?
You need to be sure any extra lacquer coat will stick. Many pre-finished engineered boards have Ali Oxide coatings on them which resist further lacquer coats.
Before doing the whole floor do a small test area.

Maybe you should try a flooring specialist for advise rather than B&Q
